This is an email received from Terri who is the daughter of Harold Colbeth (one of Bill and Kate's St. Paul family):
I enjoyed reading about your family. I will share what I know about mine that might be of interest.
I was born in Elmarige AZ and we moved to Colorado shortly there after. We lived on a dairy ranch outside of Hotchkiss until I finished the 1st grade. Both of my brothers were born in Delta which is where I now make my home. Michael, my youngest brother is also a Leap year baby. He will be 8 this year. He lives in Rockvale, TN.
We moved to Meeker CO, where I finished school in 1984. I spent about 4 months in the Army stationed at Fort Jackson SC. Then I moved to Texas and worked as a horse trainer and cutting cedar fence posts outside of San Antonio.
I came back to Meeker in September of 1986 where my son Matthew was born in February of 1987. I went to college in Grand Junction and studied Technical Theatre for a while. I got married and we moved to Bastrop Missouri where I worked in the theatres for about a year and a half. We moved to Las Vegas and I went to work for a convenience store/used car lot as a cashier and secretary.
After my divorce, I went back to work at my passion mechanics. I worked for a place replacing engines and doing brake jobs for awhile. I worked for Checker Auto Parts for about 3 years. I started dating a gentleman who worked in the shop next door and we have been together now for 8 years last Christmas.
We moved back to Colorado two years ago. My son Matt lived in Grand Junction with his uncle Brian for a while and then moved to Glendive MT last September where he works and is finishing school.
I work for the local newspaper and quilt, crochet, embroider and just enjoy being semi retired for now. My mother and grandmother live about 20 minutes from here just down the road from where I first lived in Colorado so I guess you could say I've come home by a round about way.
Dad lives in Clifton which is a subdivision of Grand Junction about 45 minutes from here. Brian lives in Fruita, about the same distance.
I am planning to go to my 20th high school reunion this summer. I don't feel old enough to have been out of school that long.
Keep in touch.
Terri
